Staring from 17 October 2016, the PHI Clinical Hospital, Stip, Macedonia and the Bulgarian Medical Association – branch Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria have been jointly implementing the project ” Integration of European healthcare standards and innovations on the way for development of cross-border health cluster”, Ref: CB006.1.31.017. The project is financed by the First Call of INTERREG – IPA Cross-Border Program Bulgaria-Macedonia 2014-2020 and is being implemented on the territory of the East planning region in Macedonia and Blagoevgrad region, Bulgaria.

Within the project, a concept and tools for the establishment of a CROSS-BORDER HEALTH CLUSTER have been developed. In parallel joint strategy for establishing and developing a cross-border cluster for health between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Bulgaria has been developed with an action plan identifying the future joint cluster activities for the period from five years 2017-2022. For this purpose, all representatives of the health sector, public and private health organizations and institutions working in the East planning region in the Republic of Macedonia have been informed (the municipalities of Stip, Probistip, Karbinci, Cheshinovo-Oblesevo, Kocani, Vinica, Zrnovci, Makedonska Kamenica, Berovo, Pehcevo and Delchevo) to express their interest if they are wish to become a cluster member through the official website of the project or e-mai: [email protected].

The nomination of members in the governing bodies of the Cross-Border Health Cluster will be officially performed at the “OPEN DAYS OF HEALTH” event which will be organized in the municipality of Stip during October 2017.
