Implementation of the project „Integration of European healthcare standards and innovations on the way for development of cross-border health cluster” Ref: СВ006.1.31.017
The Public Health Institution Clinical Hospital, Stip, Macedonia and the Regional Collegium of the Bulgarian Medical Association, Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, started the implementation of the project “Integration of European healthcare standards and innovations on the way for development of cross-border health cluster”, Ref: CB 006.1.31.017. The project is financed by the First Call of INTERREG – IPA Cross-Border Program Bulgaria-Macedonia 2014-2020 and implemented on the territory of the East planning region, Macedonia and the Blagoevgrad region, Bulgaria. The activities within the project are aimed at overcoming common shortcomings regarding the condition of the health care system in both countries, as well as the evident lack of highly qualified personnel and the migration of young medical experts. Implementation of similar activities with open networking opportunities and open discussions on common issues and perspectives of the health sector is envisaged. The project promotes collaboration and innovative healthcare practices in the two neighboring regions, through the use of new technologies, capacity building, events, exchange of experiences and best practices among the medical staff in the target region.
By supporting joint activities, a cross-border health cluster will be established and put into operation, which will make a major contribution to the promotion of cooperation and implementation of future joint projects in order to strengthen the overall economic and social development of the cross-border region.
This is the first joint project of the Public Health Institution Clinical Hospital, Stip and Regional Collegium of the Bulgarian Medical Association, Blagoevgrad, with a total budget of 116.925,66 EUR.
